High Ammonia Nitrogen Wastewater Treatment Technology For Tungsten And Molybdenum Smelting

Tungsten and cobalt are important additive elements for high-performance steel, but a large amount of waste water is generated during the production and smelting of these metals. The waste water contains high-concentration salt substances, high-concentration ammonia nitrogen and some heavy metals, etc., if not properly treated Direct emissions will adversely affect us. The following methods can remove or neutralize high-concentration ammonia nitrogen molecules to achieve the effect of purifying water quality.

High Ammonia Nitrogen Wastewater Treatment Technology For Tungsten And Molybdenum Smelting

1. Blow off method

The blow-off method is currently one of the most widely used methods. It is a method of converting the ammonium ions in wastewater into ammonia molecules with air or using steam to blow them out by adjusting the pH value of the ammonium ions in the wastewater.

This method has stable effect, simple operation, easy control, and can effectively avoid secondary pollution.

2. Chemical precipitation method

It is to put Mg2+ and PO4- into wastewater containing ammonium ions to form chemical precipitation crystals, which are separated after precipitation. This method is mainly suitable for high-concentration ammonia nitrogen wastewater, with an effective rate of over 90%.

This method is simple in operation and high in conversion efficiency, but the medicament can cause pollution.

3. Nitrification and denitrification

The nitrification method uses aerobic bacteria to oxidize ammonia nitrogen in wastewater to nitrate. In the denitrification method, nitrate nitrogen is reduced to nitrogen through the action of denitrifying bacteria in the absence of oxygen.

This technology is the most widely used because of its high efficiency and low cost, but its operation process is complicated and there are more equipment.

4. Ion exchange method

In this current method, zeolite is usually used as the exchanger to remove ammonia nitrogen. By using zeolite, static or dynamic and regenerative adsorption can be performed.

5. Breakpoint chlorination method

This method produces nitrogen through the gas phase reaction of chlorine and ammonia. When the wastewater contains ammonia and amines, the amount of chlorination must be controlled after the breakpoint to ensure the breakpoint in the wastewater.

The most prominent advantage of the chlorination method is that by correctly controlling the amount of chlorination and homogenizing the flow, the ammonia and amines in the wastewater can all be chlorinated, but this method has a higher cost.

6. Traditional biological denitrification method

This method includes A/O, oxidation ditch and various types of SBR processes, including A-SBR method and multi-stage SBR method. When processing high ammonia nitrogen wastewater, the pre-physical denitrification method is usually used to reduce the ammonia nitrogen concentration in the water to a range suitable for biological treatment.

The various waste liquid treatment methods currently used have their own shortcomings, but they all have certain treatment effects. In the treatment, measures should be taken according to local conditions and reasonable waste liquid treatment methods should be selected.
